Henry Otto Barnard, 93, of rural Chenoa died at 11.05 a.m. Monday, May 11, 1987 at Mennonite Home in rural Chenoa of infirmities of age.
He was a Wayne County native, moving from here to Chenoa. He was the brother of Gertrude Jones of Fairfield.
Services Held
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home in Chenoa with Rev. Grant Sension officiating. Burial followed in the Chenoa Cemetery.
Mr. Barnard was born May 16, 1893 in Wayne County, the son of Weaver and Alice Daisy Barnard. He married the former Mamie Pearl Malone on October 21, 1915 in Fairfield. She preceded him in death on May 29, 1970.
He was a member of the Chenoa Baptist Church and a former member of the Livingston County Farm Bureau and Livingston County Farm Service. He was a retired farmer.
Among survivors are two daughters, Bertie Turk and Lucille Koehler, both of Pontiac; two sisters, Fannie Reed of Pennsylvania; and Gertrude Jones of Fairfield; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers, three sisters and one daughter.
Memorials may be made to meadows Mennonite Home or the Chenoa Baptist Church.
