Mrs. Clara Barnard, 89, a resident of Wayne City, died at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday in Sullivan, Ind. At the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sidney (Dorothy) Hale.

Mrs. Barnard had been making her home with her.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Bailey Church north of Wayne City, with the Rev. Omer Jones officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Richardson’s Funeral Home in Wayne City after 5 p.m. Thursday (tonight).

Mrs. Barnard was born in Wayne County Dec. 10, 1891. She was married to Louis Barnard, who preceded her in death in 1968.

Surviving are two sons, Cecil Barnard; and Donald Barnard; one daughter, Dorothy Hale; a foster sister, Ethel Johnson, of ; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
