Edgar Barnard, 82, of Wayne City, died at 2:10 p.m. Thursday at the Fairfield Memorial Hospital. He was a retired farmer.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Bailey Baptist church, of which he had been a member since 1907. Burial will be in the Bailey cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City, where friends may call after 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Mr. Barnard was born August 31, 1886, in Wayne county, the son of Eli and Melvina (Henson) Barnard.
On October 27, 1907, he was married to Nellie Dawson, who died in 1938.
Survivors include two sons, Normie Barnard of Wayne City and Otho Barnard of Chenoa; two brothers, Ralph Barnard of Cisne and Elmer Barnard of Johnsonville; one sister, Mrs. Mahala Shaw; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services for Edgar Barnard, 82, of Wayne City, wereconducted from the Bailey Baptist church near Wayne City Sunday afternoon, with interment in Bailey cemetery.
The Richardson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He was born in Wayne county Aug. 31, 1886, the son of Eli and Melvina Henson Barnard.
