Mrs. Carmen Barnard, 87, died at 9:45 a.m. Friday, Aug. 13, 1993, at Way-Fair Restorium.

She was a longtime resident of the Wayne City area and more lately, at Way-Fair.

Funeral rites were conducted Sunday afternoon from the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City, with Rev. Mark Canada officiating. Interment was in Thomason Cemetery at Wayne City. A visitation was held at the Richardson Chapel Saturday evening.

She was born in Wayne County Feb. 13, 1906, the daughter of Frank and Olive Lowe Peddicord.

She was married to Elmer Barnard, who preceded her in death Mar. 8, 1989. The couple had no children.

Mrs. Barnard was a member of the Wayne City United Methodist Church. She was a housewife.

Surviving are one brother, Stanley Peddicord,; one sister, Mrs. Hobart (Lois) Weaver,; and a stepsister, Esther Barnard.
