Chenoa – Word was received here Thursday morning  of the sudden death of Mrs. C.R. Kerr, which occurred Wednesday afternoon at the home of her sister, Mary E. Malboeus, in Akron, Ohio.

Funeral services and burial will be in Akron Friday morning.

Mrs. Kerr is a former resident of Chenoa. Her husband, Dr. Kerr, practiced here for several years.. She had been at the home of her sister since early fall. Her husband joined the armed services two years ago and was in the Philippines. Her last word from him was a Christmas cablegram which she received Dec. 27, 1941 from Manila and didn’t ever learn whether he was killed or held prisoner by Japan. This grief and worry brought about her death, it was believed.
