OBITUARY

August 1945

Elmer Alvin Pennington, son of Marion and Florence Pennington, was born near Cisne, Wayne County, Illinois, April 5th, 1892; passed away at Akron, Ohio, Aug. 14, 1945 at the age of 53 years, 4 months and nine days.

He was married to Jasmyn Owen July 6th, 1913. Surviving are his wife and namely, Owen of Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Eilene Dickey of Newton Falls, Ohio and with the U.S. Army in Germany.

He was a member of the Round Prairie Baptist church. Most of his life was spent as a farmer and stock raiser here in Wayne county near the neighborhood of his birth, but for the last two years or more had made his home in Akron, Ohio.

Besides his immediate family,  he leaves to mourn his passing, his aged mother of Akron; three sisters, Mrs. Ethel Brimberry, and Mrs. Edna Perrine, both of Akron; Mrs. Meryl Ayers of Cisne and two brothers, Ross and Frank, both also ofAkron and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the Methodist Church at Cisne by Rev. Jessie Miller, Thursday afternoon, August 17th with interment at theCisne cemetery.
