Retired Farmer Had Heart Condition
But Death Came Unexpectedly
Rites Friday
Earl Adams, 69, a retired farmer, died of a heart attack at his home at 406 1/2 South East Seventh street about 4:45 Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. Adams' death came unexpectedly, although he had had a heart condition for the past four or five years. He had been uptown earlier Tuesday, however.
Rites Friday
Earl, son of Thomas and Sarah Bower Adams, was born in Adams county, Illinois, January 1st, 1892.
He had lived on a farm in Jasper township before moving into Fairfield a year ago.
Mr. Adams was married to Mary Creighton Goodwin.

Surviving are his widow; two step-sons, Joe Goodwin, of Anderson, Ind.; and Carl Goodwin, of Florida; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs. Cecil Unger, of Ft. Myers, Fla.; Mrs Hattie Cecil,of Keokuk, Iowa; and Mrs. Daisy Hardy, of Warsaw, Ill.
