OBITUARY |
Suffered Heart Attack Friday And
Died At Clay County Hospital
Rites Sunday
Mrs. Sherman Hohlbaugh, 62, of Elm River township, died at Clay County Hospital in Flora Friday, shortly after being stricken with a heart attack.
She had a heart condition for some time.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the Enterprise Baptist church with Bro. H. A. Shelton officiating. Interment was in Fitch cemetery. DeSelms Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Clara D. daughter of C.C. [sic] and Margaret Fitch, was born in Elm River township February 19th, 1896.
On May 21st, 1913, she was married to Sherman Hohlbaugh and nine children were born to this union. One son and one daughter died in infancy and another daughter passed away at the age of six years. She was also preceded in death by her father and one brother and one sister.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Robert, of Cisne; Glen, at home; and Donald, of St. Louis, Mo.; three daughters, Mrs. Wanda Miller, Mrs. Margaret Scott and Mrs. Emma Schonhoff, all of St. Louis; her mother, Mrs. Margaret Fitch, of Flora; three brothers; one sister; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren
