John E. Fitch, 77, a resident of Flora the last two years and the father of Mrs. Lyman Haynes of this city, died last night in Clay County Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Friday afternoon, from the First Christian church here, with interment following in Fitch cemetery, near Enterprise.

The body is at the Hancock Funeral Home, where it will lie in state until the hour of the final services.

Mr. Fitch was a life-long resident of Elm River township in Wayne county, until moving to Flora two years ago to make his home at 1037 East Third street.

Mr. Fitch is survived by five sons and six daughters, and was the uncle of Elson Fitch of Flora.
