Funeral services for Marion Malone, 72 year-old resident of Hugoton and Stevens county were held on Saturday afternoon of last week at the Chirstian [sic] church with R.L. Wells, Methodist minister of Plains in charge of the services.  Burial was in the Hugoton cemetery.

Mr. Malone was in fair health until just recently when he became ill.

He was retired and had lived in Hugoton for many years.  Members of his family were called from far and near to be at his bedside and to attend the funeral services.

He is survived by his widow and 12 children and their families.

Church and family, Mr. and Mrs. C.N. Malone and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wheeler and family and Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Fairchild.
