Rites Held
Mrs. Wreatha Barnard, 78, of Wayne City died at 8:50 a.m. Friday, March 6, 1987 in the skilled care unit of Fairfield Memoral Hospital following a stroke.
According to family members, her death was unexpected because she had not been ill. Sje suffered a stroke Sunday and never recovered.
Services Held
Funeral services were held Sunday at Bailey Church north of Wayne City with Rev. Roger Tate officiating. Burial followed in Bailey Cemetery.
She was born in Wayne County on December 16, 1908, th daughter of Will and Elizabeth (Shehorn) Malone. She married Lowell Barnard on January 21, 1933 in Wayne County and he survives.
Mrs. Barnard attended Pin Oak School north of Sims in her youth.
She was a housewife and member of the Bailey Church.
The Survivors
Among survivors are her husband, Lowell of Wayne City; one son, Donnie arnard of Cisne; one daughter, Marva Jean Manahan of Cisne; one sister, Clela Butcher< of Cisne; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and one grandchild.
