Alverda Caldwell was born in Wayne County, Illinois, October 226 (?), 1867, and passed away February 6, 1923; aged 55 years, 3 months and 10 days.

She was united in marriage to Alfred Yoho, July 22, 1886. She is survived by her aged husband and five children, namely; Mrs. Cora Davis, Mrs. Florence Galiher, Eddie and Ira of Geff, Mrs. Mabel Morris, of Fairfield, and nine grand children, also three brothers, Loyd and Madison Caldwell of St. Louis, Mo., Nathan Caldwell of Edwardsville, Ill., one sister, Mrs. Laur Beck of Rantoul, Ill., and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Emma Caldwell of St. Francisville, Ill.

She professed faith in Christ at an early age and united with the Gunion church and later in life placed her membership with the Pleasant Grove church where she was a member til death.

Funeral services were conducted February 8 at the Oak Valley church by Elder W.D. Crippin. Those in attendance  from a distance were Loyd and Madison Caldwell of St. Louis, Mo.,And Mrs. Emma Caldwell, of St. Francisville, Ill.
