Oliver Perry, son of Thos. H. and Eva Standish, was born near Mt. Erie, Ill., on February 21, 1855.

He united in marriage with Miss Mary Ann Little on March 27, 1887. This union was blessed with four children, three of whom survive: Mrs. Dollie Meyers, Mrs. Goldie Cox and Chas.  Standish; one son Willie died in infancy. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.

His companion passed away June 30, 1921. At the age of 29 years he professed faith in Christ and united with the M.E. church of Mt. Erie, later moving his membership to the Johnsonville church.

He was ill but a few days and passed away at the home of his daughter Dollie Meyers on February 13th, 1930 at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 21 days.

Funeral services were held at the M.E. church of Johnsonville on February 15th at 1p.m. by Rev. Staley and interment was in the cemetery nearby.
