Louiza Ann, daughter of Nichols and Eleanor Borders, was born in Muskingum county, Ohio, October 2, 1851. She came to Illinois in her youth and located near Johnsonville, where she grew to womanhood and has spent the greater part of her life.
She was converted in early life and united with the Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, of which she remained a faithful member throughout her life.
She was united in marriage with Isaac Radcliff, March 3, 1870. Four children were born to this union, one daughter, Laura died about forty-five years ago. Her companion passed away February 13, 1935.
She has been an invalid for several years and has spent the greater part of her time in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lillie Ellzey, where she was given every possible care. She was patient in her affliction and many times expressed herself as being ready and willing to go. She entered peacefully into rest early Friday morning, April 13, 1945, age 93 years, 6 months and eleven days.
She is survived by one son, James of near Johnsonville; two daughters, Mrs. Ida Ellis of Hume, and Mrs. Lillie Ellzey of Cisne; eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, many other relatives and a large circle of friends and acquaintances, who will mourn her passing.
Funeral services were conducted from the Cisne Methodist Church Saturday afternoon by Elder W.D. Crippin and Rev. Homer Herrin. Interment was in the Wesley Chapel cemetery.
