November 1945

Morris Purdy, son of William and Stella Purdy, was born near Rinard July 24th, 1884. He was married to Maud Frazier of near Mt. Erie, May 15th, 1909. To this union were born six children: Mrs. Glenn Flick of Flora; L.E. Purdy of Roxanna, Ill.; William of Buffalo, N.Y.; Kenneth of the U.S. Army; Doris Lee at home, and one who died in infancy.

He died suddenly November 26, 1945 at Evansville, Ind. Aged 61 years, 4 months and 2 days.

Surviving besides the immediate family are two brothers, Elmer and Bert of Rinard, a half brother C.A. Vail of Georgetown, Ill., and a sister, Mrs. Everett Rochelle of Flora.

His funeral was held at Bunker church, near Rinard with Rev. Fred Weir in charge and laid to rest in the cemetery nearby Nov. 28, 1945.
