Charles Henry, son of Sim and Mary Mundy , was born in Wabash County on January 28, 1865 and departed this life at the Olney Hospital, after a brief illness, on May 16, 1945 at the age of 80 years, three months and 18 days.
On December 28, 1893, he was united in marriage to Ida Lairmer, who preceded him in death January 2nd, 1928. To this union were born two children, Hazel Thomason of Fairfield and Joe Mundy of Huntingburg, Ind.
He was again married to Rozella Armstrong on June 4, 1933. She preceded him in death on January 19, 1945
Early in life he was converted and he and his wife joined the South Church in 1893 and about five years ago he moved his membership to the North Church under the ministry of Rev. Chatmen and Rev. Piersaul.
He leaves to mourn his passing his two children, three grandchildren, Gene Mundy, Charles Henry and Mary Thomason; one step-son, Lloyd Armstrong of Indianapolis, Ind. and seven step-grandchildren. He also leaves two brothers, Rolla of Dallas, Texas, Frank, of Stitch, Texas, two sisters, Alice Bradley of Abilene, Texas, Maggie Crowson of Oregon, one half-brother, Landis of Oklahoma City, Okla. and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Mundy was a charter member of the I.O.O.F. at Mt. Erie but he later moved his membership to the Lodge of Fairfield.
