Eva, daughter of T.H.B. and Mary A. King, was born in Wayne county, January 8, 1887; She grew to womanhood in the vicinity of her birth. In early life she was converted and united with the St. Paul Methodist Church.
She was united in marriage with Jesse O. Keiger January 8, 1908. No children were born to this union, however a foster son, Floyd Fincher was given a home from four years of age and reared to manhood with every care that could have been given to their own. A faithful companion, a good neighbor and a loyal friend, she was loved and respected by all who knew her.
Following several months of illness and intense suffering, she entered peacefully into rest at her home north of Mt. Erie, Thursday night, August 9, 1945, age 58 years, 7 months and 1 day.
She is survived by her faithful companion, a foster son, now with the armed forces in Germany, two brothers, Thomas H. and Charlie both of near Mt. Erie; many other relatives and a host of friends and neighbors who will mourn her passing.
Funeral services were conducted from the Mt. Erie Methodist Church, Sunday afternoon by Elder W.D. Crippin assisted by the pastor, Rev. M.L. Watson. Interment was in the Scott cemetery.
