Mary A., daughter of Isaac and Altamira Weaver, was born in Wayne County, Illinois, September 4, 1862.
She grew to mature years and in fact spent her entire life in the community of her birth.
She was united in marriage to John L. Case, March 25th, 1886. This union was blessed with four children one son and three daughters, one of whom died in infancy.
Early in life she was converted to the Christian faith and united with the General Baptist Church of which she was aloyal and consistant member until the time of her death, which occurred at her home south of Johnsonville on the morning of December 4th, 1925 at the age of 63 years, 3 months.
She was a loving mother, a kind neighbor and friend and her memory will be a precious treasure in the minds of her children and those who knew her best.
She is survived by one son Arthur Case of Cisne, three daughters, Emma Knopp and Myrtle Eikleberry of Geff and Maudie Long of Gilbert Ark.
One daughter Minnie Watson preceded her in death in February, 1923; two brothers, Will Weaver, of Flora and Tom Weaver of Golden Gate, two sisters Belle Shehorn of Fairfield and Martha Williamson of Johnsonville, twenty-three grandchildren and a great host of other near relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services were conducted at the home Sunday morning at 11 o’clock by Elder W.D. Crippin. Interment was in the Hale Cemetery.
