MRS. N.W. GALBRAITH
DIED AT LONG BEACH, CAL
Many Deaths of Citizens and Former Citizens of Wayne County Reported Past week ...
A message came last Saturday morning from Long Beach, California to Mrs. O.A. Towns telling her of the death of her sister, Mrs. Ella Lane-Galbraith, which had taken place shortly before at Long Beach, where Mr. and Mrs. Galbraith had been spending the winter. A message a week before told of her serious illness of pneumonia.
Mr. and Mrs. Galbraith left their home in Johnsonville last November to spend the winter and perhaps remain indefinately with relatives in Long Beach, a charming city in southern California. The news of her death was a shock to her many relatives and friends in Wayne County.
Word from there Monday indicated that they were starting home with the body, and the burial will take place in this city on its arrival, which may be some time Wednesday or Wednesday night. Burial will take place in Maple Hill cemetery.
Later - No word had been received to Wednesday morning as to when the body would arrive. Mr. Galbraith is reported ill himself. A message is expected telling when the party will leave from California.
