BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH
OF
GLADYS LOUISE WEEDON
Funeral services for Miss Gladys Louise Weedon were conducted at
three-thirty o'clock Wednesday afternoon, September 20th at the First
Christian Church by Rev. Paul W. Bayer, of Bloomfield, Ind. Burial
was
in the Maple Hill cemetery.
Gladys Louise Weedon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Weedon,
was born on February 1st, 1921 in Bicknell, Indiana. Later with her
parents she
removed to Fairfield to make her home.
On March 24th, 1932, she made her confession of faith in Christ becoming an active member of the First Christian Church. She was always zealous in the departments where she found usefulness in the work of her Chuch, more especially in the Melodie Choir and later in the Carol Choir.
In October 1937, while in high school, she was ______ with a malady
which confined her many months. She remained at home in Fairfield
until July 1938 when she was taken to the W______ hospital at Romeo, Mich.
On August 6th, she returned to her home in Ferndale, Michigan. At
12:30
Sunday morning, September 17th, she departed this life. She was
eighteen years, seven months and sixteen days of age.
Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her passing, the parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Weedon; four brothers, Charles, of Detroit; Otis, of Mt. Clements, Michigan; Lewis and Noel at home; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Brown, of Detroit, Michigan and Mary Jo at home.
