Earl Creighton, 84, Dies

Earl A. Creighton, 84, who lived and worked around Detroit, Mich., many years, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday at Memorial Hospital.

He was the brother of Mrs. James Gaither and Mrs. Pauline O'Malley, of  Fairfield.

Mr. Creighton, who had been in fairly good health, suffered a ruptured aorta at his home at 26 Kincaid Dr. and he was rushed to the hospital.  He died about three hours later.

Services Thursday

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield, with Bro. Carroll Kakac officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Mr. Creighton was born in Wayne County Feb. 12, 1895, the son of James and Elizabeth (Gray) Creighton.  He was reared around here.

He was a veteran of World War I.  Following the war, he moved to Detroit.  He eventually became a builder of luxury homes in that area.  He was a partner in the Walter H. Mast Co.

He had been living in a suburb of Detroit, Grosse Point Woods.  But in April, his sisters persuaded him to move to Fairfield.  His wife is a patient in Way-Fair Restorium.  Mr. and Mrs. Jim Gaither have been living with him.

The Survivors

Surviving are his widow, the former Glenna Bobbett, sister of Delbert Bobbett, of Fairfield; two sisters, Mrs. Jim (Alice) Gaither and Mrs. Pauline O'Malley, both of Fairfield.
