HON. T. H. CREIGHTON
DIES IN HOSPITAL
Widely-Known Fairfield Attorney
Had Been in Failing Health a Long Time
Funeral Friday
Death came to one of Fairfield's highly esteemed residents Monday evening when Hon. Thomas H. Creighton passed away at 11 o'clock in the Deaconess hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
Mr. Creighton entered the hospital on Thursday of last week and was thought to be suffering with gall stones, but because of his weakened condition an operation was delayed. Later he was found to be suffering with a serious gall bladder and liver complication. His condition grew steadily weaker until death.
Mr. Creighton had not been in robust health for many years, and for some time he had not been actively engaged in his legal work here. Just a few days before entering the hospital, he and Mrs. Creighton had returned from Granville, Ohio, where they had been visiting their daughter.
The remains were brought to the Haefele-Dixon Monday night and will remain there until Wednesday afternoon (today) when they will be removed to the Creighton home at the east edge of Fairfield. Funeral services will be held at two o'clock Friday afternoon at the First Methodist church by Dr. Cameron Harmon. Burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery.
