Ruby Marguerite, youngest daughter of John L. and Wilda Cates was born in Indian Prairie township, September 8, 1910.  She grew to womanhood and has spent her life in thee vicinity of her birth.

Early in life she was converted and united with the Rock Branch General Baptist Church and remained a faithful member during her life.

She was united in marriage with Perry Hargrave, December 25, 1930.   One son was born to this union.

Following a long period of illness she entered peacefully into rest at her home near Johnsonville,  Friday evening, March 16,  1945, age 34 years, 7 months and 8 days.  She is survived by her son, Dean, her mother, two brothers, Estrage of Latham and Elmo of Flora; one sister,  Florine Leathers of Cisne; many other relatives and a large circle of friends and aquaintances who will mourn her passing.

Funeral services were conducted from thee Rock Branch Church, Sunday afternoon by Elder W. D.Crippin.  Interment was in the Cisne cemetery.
