Gary Len Vaughan

70 year old Fairfield, Illinois resident, Gary Len Vaughan, passed away at his residence Friday morning, September 14, 2018. Gary had worked in the United States Postal Service for over 37 years before retiring. Gary was a rural mail carrier having worked in the Burnt Prairie, Mill Shoals and Cisne areas. Following his retirement, He worked for the postal service in Iraq for one year.
The son of Max H. and Norma Pauline (Gidcumb) Vaughan, Gary was born July 30, 1948 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois
Gary L. Vaughan is survived by one son, Jeremy Vaughan and his wife Jessica of Mill Shoals, Illinois; two brothers, Richard Vaughan of Fairfield and Tracy Vaughan and his wife Brenda of Eldorado, Illinois; and one sister, Lisa Webb of McLeansboro, Illinois.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Gary L. Vaughan will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 at Nale's Funeral Home in Fairfield, Illinois with burial in the West Antioch Cemetery, East of Mill Shoals, Illinois.
Visitation will be Thursday evening, September 20, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
