Elizabeth Ann (Newport) Bunting

Elizabeth Ann Bunting, 79, of Ellery, quietly departed this life early Wednesday morning, November 20, 2019 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. She was born March 12, 1940 in Edwards County, Illinois to the late Lloyd and Ethel (Abby) Newport. She attended Edwards Co. High School, as well as one year at Lincoln Christian College. She was a member of Little Prairie Christian Church in Albion.
She worked various places throughout her life, including being a co-owner of Copeland’s Ready to Wear with her friend, Elaine Harris. She was loved by many and enjoyed playing the piano for the church at Conway United Methodist Church in Ellery, IL.
Ann was united in marriage to Paul Ray Bunting on July 31, 1960. They were blessed with three children. Paul proceeded her in death on August 12, 2011.
Ann’s life will be forever remembered by her children, sons, Phillip Ray (Pam) Bunting of Mt. Erie, IL, and Mark Alan (Crystal) Bunting of Ellery, IL, and daughter, Lesa Anne (Andrew) Black of Princeville, IL; Her seven grandchildren; Drew (Javonna) Bunting, Miranda Bunting, Jessica (Alex) Bond, Lydia (Kelby) McCoy, Evan Bunting, Nathan Holland, and Matthew (Lauren) Holland; and ten great grandchildren. Along with brother, Danny (Lana) Newport of West Salem and sister, Sandy Bunting of Albion. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Ronnie Newport.
Services for Ann will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Little Prairie Christian Church west of Albion at 1:00pm with Pastor Tom Cater officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00am until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery in Albion. Memorials may be made to the Little Prairie Christian Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepted at the church.
