She was a homemaker. Mrs. Carrell was the mother of Don Carrell, of Rinard.
Funeral services were conducted Monday morning (today) from the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora, with Bro. Jim Owen officiating. Interment was in the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Xenia. A visitation was held Sunday evening at Frank & Bright Funeral Home.
She was born at Xenia Dec. 30, 1913, the daughter of Albert O. and Clela Westcott Akes.
On Oct. 28, 1931, at Effingham, she was married to Everett Carrell. He passed away Feb. 15, 1980. Also preceding her in death were her parents, one grandson, a daughter-in-law, one brother and two sisters.
She attended the Xenia Church of God of Prophecy.
Surviving are four sons, Howard Carrell, of Olney; Jack Carrell, of
Canton, Ohio; Don Carrell, of Rinard; and Charles Carrell, of Wilmington;
two daughters, Imogene Wyman, of Xenia; and Ruth Swain, of Xenia; three
brothers, Burl Akes, of
Xenia; Dr. Charles Akes, of Lake Placid, Fla.; and Gene Akes, of Lake
Placid, Fla.; 23 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grand
children.
