Dorothy Legg

Dorothy Emogene Legg, 80, of Wayne City, passed away at 1:22 a.m. Saturday,
Sept. 20, 2008, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

She was born in Wayne County on Oct. 27, 1927, a daughter of Ottis and Elsie (Miller) Niccum. She married Lowell Legg on July 31, 1948. She was a
bookkeeper and homemaker.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Keenes Christian Church. Burial will follow at Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Lowell Legg of Wayne City; sons, Rodney Legg and wife Brenda of Wayne City and Dennis Legg of Wayne City; daughters, Linda Bryant and husband Bernie of Salem and Cheryl Genta and husband Robert of Fairview Heights; 12 grandchildren, Kevin Legg and wife Mandi, Bryan Legg and wife Ellen, Ryan Legg, Brent Legg, Dylan Legg, Alex Bryant, Ethan Bryant, Adrienne Bryant, Elsie Spenger and husband Joe, Jullian Pye and husband Owen and Nicole Genta; five great-grandchildren, Taylor Legg, Emily Legg, Warren Legg, Reese Legg and Leland Sprenger; brother, Eldon Niccum and wife Marilyn of Fairfield; and sister, Marilyn Green and husband Leo of Wayne City.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant sister.

Dorothy was a member of Keenes Christian Church.
