Charelene Baker "Billie" Wagner
Charelene Baker "Billie" Wagner of Bluford, surrounded by loved ones, passed away on Sept. 13 at Way-Fair Nursing Home in Fairfield.
Charelene was born on Nov. 10, 1939, in Wayne County. Her parents were Brose W. and Margaret (Bell) Vaughan. Grandparents were Charles and Rosa Elizabeth Harris Vaughan and Vern and Cora Mabel Harris Bell. Charelene was married to Truman Dale Baker with one son born from this union.
Charelene was a medical lab technologist.
She is survived by Truman Baker and son, Kevin Baker of Bluford; grandsons, Klay Baker of Spout Spring, Va., and Keith Baker of Bluford; sisters, Clarabelle Simpson of Clay City, Dorothea Jenkins of Fairfield, Helen Williams of Normal and JoAnne Gershenson of San Antonio; aunts, Mary Simms of Fairfield, Bea Riley of Elkhart, Kan., and Barbara Vaughan of Newburgh, Ind.; uncle, Virgil Vaughan of Fairfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and one sister, Elsie Pauline.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in Grayville. For directions to memorial site, you may call Kevin Baker.
Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City is in charge of all arrangements.
