Lorene Tannahill, 90
Lorene E. Tannahill, 90, of Geff passed away at 12:37 a.m. Wednesday at the Clay County Hospital at Flora.
She was born on May 28, 1918 at Cisne to James and Flossie (Henthorne) States.
She married J. Ted Tannahill on July 29, 1943 at Effingham and he preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1987.
She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Cisne and the Pleasant Grove Christian Church of Geff.
Lorene is survived by two daughters: Linda Humphrey and her husband C. J. of Enfield, Ill. and Lena Jackson and her husband John on Flora; seven sons: James Tannahill of Geff, Charles Tannhill of Ina, Ill., Frank Tannahill of Ocala, Fla., Jerry Tannahill and his wife Ann of Cisne, Ill., Earl Tanna hill of Olney, Walter Roy Tannahill and his wife Marsha of Woodlawn, Ill., and Joe Tannahill of Cisne. Also surviving are one stepson, Steve Tannahill and his wife Raso of Buena Park, Calif., one stepdaughter, Pat Flowers, of Oklahoma City, two sisters, Wreatha Liss, of Franklin, Ind. and Ruth Smith of Cisne, one sister-in-law, Fawn States of Fairfield, 24 grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 12 step-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were one daughter, Marjorie, one stepson, one stepdaughter, two grandchildren, one step-grandchild, three sisters: Irene, Betty, and Mary, and one prother, Charles. Also preceding her were her husband and parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Hosselton Funeral Home at Cisne with burial to follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery at Geff.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. on Friday at the Hosselton Funeral Hme.
Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Grove Cemetery Fund.
