Shirley Lucille Mullinnax, 90, of Fairfield, formerly of Geff, passed away at 6:44 a.m. Sunday at the St. Mary's Hospital at Centralia.
She was born on June 6, 1918, at Willow Grove, Tenn. to Clyde and Audra (Hawkins) Ford. She married George H. (Bert) Mullinnax on May 10, 1945 at Cisne and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2005. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Fairfield and was a homemaker.
Surviving her are: one daughter, Ruth Ann Wilfong of Kell, Ill.; two sons, Jim Mullinax of Cowling, Ill. and Clyde Mullinnax and wife Judy of Fairfield; one half-brother, Willie Hatten Arms and wife Virginia of Algood, Tenn.; one half-sister, Opal West of Hixson, Tenn.; and one sister-in-law, Evelyn Smith of Albion. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Rhonda Andrews of Salem, Julie Wilfong of Kell, Shelly Huebner of Edwardsville, Jason Mullinnax of St. Charles, and Josh Mullinnax of Fairfield and 11 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her husband, one daughter, Lee Dell, one grandchild and her parents.
Services for Shirley Lucille Mullinnax will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Hosselton Funeral Home in Cisne. Friends may call from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Geff.
