FAIRFIELD
Mary L. Ile, 84, Fairfield, died at 8:45 a.m. Sunday, July 13, at Wabash Christian Retirement Center in Carmi.
Mary was born Aug. 27, 1923, in Golden Gate to Olvin Chalcraft and Lola Graham. She had been a factory worker at Rex Filter.
Ampong her survivors are: a daughter, Susan Tate of Carmi; four sisters, Valetta Butler and Vera Ellis, both of Fairfield, Veronda "Freddie" Rogers of Carmi, and Joan Carter of Wood River, Ill.; two brothers, Roy Chalcraft of Fairfield and Dean Chalcraft of Carpentersville, Ill.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herb Ile, her parents, a sister and a half-brother.
A memorial service for Mary L. Ile will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 19, at Springerton Community of Christ Church. There will be no visitation. Her body was cremated. Johnson & Vaughn Funeral Home of Fairfield is in charge of arrangements.
