MRS. ALTA MARIE GADDY DIES
AT FLORA HOSPITAL

A former Fairfield resident, Mrs. Alta Marie Gaddy, 91, of Flora, died at 6:47 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 1985, at Clay County Hospital in Flora.

Mrs. GADDY was the widow of Ernest GADDY, a Wayne county teacher. Mrs. GADDY moved from this area many years ago.

Rites Conducted

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Don Tabor officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Born in Wayne county, July 13, 1894, Mrs. GADDY was the daughter of Van R. and Della Best STASER. She married George Ernest GADDY, who preceded her in death Sept. 12, 1958.

The Survivors

Survivors include one son, Darrell GADDY, of Moline; three daughters, Mrs. Lillian KNAPP, of Xenia; Miss Ernestine GADDY and Mrs. Evelyn JOHNSON, both of Flora; two brothers, Frank and Clinton STASER, both of Peoria; one sister, Mrs. Athea THOMAS, of Flannigan; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
