MRS. LAVADA WOLFE,
82, DIES
RITES ON TUESDAY
A well-known Mt. Erie resident, Mrs. Lavada WOLFE, 82, the widow of Lot WOLFE, died at 12:25 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 1985, at Olney Care Center. Mrs. WOLFE and her husband farmed in the Mt. Erie area for many years. At one time, the couple owned and operated the Mt. Erie Cafe. Death was due to the infirmities of age, the Press was told.
Services Tuesday
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hosselton Funeral Home, Cisne, with Rev. L. B. Howard officiating. Burial will be in West Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be conducted from 6-8 p.m. Monday (tonight).
A native of Wayne county, Mrs. WOLFE was born June 14, 1902, the daughter of Dole and Fanny (PETTY) FERGUSON.
She wed Lot WOLFE in Fairfield Sept. 29, 1921. He preceded her in death Feb. 27, 1973. Mrs. WOLFE was a housewife during her marriage. Mrs. WOLFE was a member of West United Methodist Church.
The Survivors
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Noble (Betty) TALLEY, of Hartwell, Ga.; two sons, Bernard WOLFE, of Mt. Erie; and Bob WOLFE, of Salem; one sister, Mrs. Otis (Golda) CHAPMAN, of Mt. Erie; a brother, Carles FERGUSON, of Fairfield; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, William, and one sister and two brothers.
