Mrs. Margaret Trout Hammers, 67, of St. Charles, died Wednesday June 12, 1996, in Sherman Hospital at Elgin.

She was a sister of Mrs. P. V. (Gayle) Gwaltney, of Fairfield.

Services were held Saturday, June 15, at Norris Funeral Home in St. Charles, with burial in River Hills Memorial Park at Batavia.

She was born in White County Oct. 25, 1928, the daughter of Fred and Katherine Appel Redman.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her first husband, Delbert Trout, in 1978, and her second husband, Laverne Hammers, in 1994.

Surviving are a daughter, Sharon Theis, of St. Charles; a son, Jim Trout, of Peoria: six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gayle Gwaltney, of Fairfield.
