James Waterfield, 31, of Mt. Carmel, died Thursday, June 20, 1996, at Wabash General Hospital in that city.

He was a brother of Kim Andrews of Mt. Erie, and Kit Bunnage, of Ellery.

Mr. Waterfield was a truck driver for Midwest Transit.

Funeral rites were held Sunday afternoon from the Short Funeral Home in Mt. Carmel, with burial in Enterprise Cemetery. Visitation was held at the funeral home Saturday evening.

He was born in Toledo, Ohio, Dec. 16, 1964, the son of Charles and Patricia D. Henderson Waterfield.

In June 1989, he was married to Michelle Ellis.

He was a member of the Mt. Carmel First Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Patricia Marie, of Mt. Carmel; a son, Matthew James, of Mt. Carmel; his stepmother, Phyllis Waterfield, of Albion, and three sisters, Annie Weir, of Mt. Carmel; Kim Andrews of Mt. Erie; and Kit Bunnage, of Ellery.

Also preceding him in death were two brothers and one sister.
