David Ray Wilson, 56, of Fairfield, died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday June 20, 1996, at Welborn Baptist Hospital in Evansville, Ind.

Mr. Wilson, Grover Township road commissioner, suffered a heart attack earlier last week.

Funeral services were conducted from the Johnson Funeral Home Sunday afternoon, with Bro. John Smith officiating. Interment was in Union Cemetery southeast of Fairfield. A visitation was held Saturday evening at the Johnson Chapel.

He was born at Olney Sept. 3, 1939, the son of Lee and Marie Harris Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was married to Rita Brown. He was a Protestant.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Randy, of Fairfield; one grandchild;  one brother, Leroy Wilson, of Decatur; one sister, Jewel Smith, of Fairfield; three nephews and two nieces.
