Charles Franklin (Frank) Beiswenger, 80, of Fairfield, died at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 1996, at Welborn Baptist Hospital in Evansville, Ind.
Mr. Beiswenger, who was a retired supervisor at Airtex Products had been in declining health for the past two and a half years. He had suffered two strokes. He was employed with Airtex for 42 years.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon (today) from the Johnson Funeral Home, with Bro. Kenneth Holland officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation was held at the Johnson Chapel Wednesday evening.
He was born in Barnhill Township Jan. 21, 1916, the son of Charles and Lela Simpson Beiswenger.
On June 29, 1938, he was married to Marie Hunt.
Mr. Beiswenger was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church southeast of Fairfield.
He was very active in the Masonic organizations here and a 50year member of Fairfield Masonic Lodge No. 206 AF & AM, in which lodge he had served in all chairs except that of treasurer. He was secretary for 42 years and served as Grand Master in 1944.
Mr. Beiswenger was also a 50year member of the Royal Arch Chapter of Masons No. 179 where he had served as High Priest. He was also a member of Fairfield Council 126 and the Ruby Chapter No. 462, Order of Eastern Star.
He was active for years in the Egyptian Old Car Club and an antique car club in Evansville, Ind.
Surviving are his wife; two brothers, Chris Beiswenger, of Fairfield; and Arnold Beiswenger, of Mt. Carmel; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother.
Memorials may be made to the Fairfield Masonic Lodge 206 and the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
