Charles A. Tait, 91, of Grayville, died at 7:25 a.m. Wednesdays June 5, 1996, at Welborn Baptist Hospital in Evansville, Ind.      Mr. Tait, formerly of rural Albion, was a Wayne County native.
 
Funeral services were held Saturday at Sturm Funeral Home in Grayville, with Rev. Bill Bunnage officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery southwest of Fairfield. There was a visitation at thefuneral home Friday evening.

He was born in Wayne County Sept. 16, 1904, the son of Chester and Lydia Hanley Tait.

On Mar. 20, 1926, he was married to Beulah Seifried.

Mr. Tait was a retired farmer and a member of the Browns Chapel United Methodist Church near Albion.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Del (June) Graham, of Evansville, Ind.; three grandchildren; and one nephew.
