Mrs. Rachel Hallam, 85, of Fairfield, died Saturday, June 1, 1996, at Richland Memorial hospital in Olney.

She was the widow of Tom Hallam.

Graveside rites Will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Union Cemetery southeast of Fairfield, with the Johnson Funeral Home in charge.  Visitation will be at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Surviving are one daughter, Beatrice Jackson, Clay City; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; four
great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Margaret Vaughan, Clay City; Laverne Vaughan, of Fairfield; and Bea Koker, of Elkhart, Kans.

She was born in Wayne County Dec. 20, 1910, the daughter of Vern and Mable Harris Bell
