Mrs. Jennie Lee Funkhouser, 94, of Huntsville, Ala., died Wednesday May 29, 1996, at Windsor House nursing home in that city.

She was a Mill Shoals native and a Housewife.

Funeral services were held from Nale's Funeral Home here Saturday afternoon, with Bro. Carroll Kakac officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery. A visitation was held just prior to the funeral.

She was born at Mill Shoals Aug 22, 1901, the daughter of Bert and Jessie Behymer Sherrick.

She was married to Preston (Bud) Funkhouser. He passed away Jan. 3, 1952.

Mrs. Funkhouser was a member of the Baptist church.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Surviving are a son Jack Funkhouser, of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Dean (Buddie Jean) Martin, of Huntsville, Ala.; two brothers, Orville Sherrick, of Jackson, Tenn.; and Clayton Sherrick, of Tucson, Ariz.; four sisters, Mrs. Amy Lee, of Huntsville, Ala.; Mrs. Tommie Logsdon, of Ridgeway; Mrs. Iola Childs, of Memphis, Tenn.; and Mrs. Bertha Baldwin, of
Virgina Beach, Va.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
