FINAL RITES HELD FOR
JOE BUSHONG
Funeral services for Joe Bushong, 66, of Springerton, a former Fairfield man, were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Reb. Thomas Moore of Springerton officiated. Burial was in Veterans Cemetery in Fairfield.
Military rites were conducted at the graveside.
In Poor Health
Mr. Bushong died at 2:35 p.m. Wednesday in Fairfield Memorial Hospital. He had been in very poor health and had been in and out of area hospitals. He suffered a stroke a few days before he died.
Mr. Bushong was born in Wayne County on Sept. 13, 1913, the son of James and Nellie (McDowell) Bushong.
Was A Veteran
He worked in construction and was a used-car salesman. He was a veteran of World War II, and was a member of the American Legion.
His only survivor, Mrs. Ovella Cloninger, of Fairfield, died Thursday, the day after his death.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Clayton Bushong and a sister, Mrs. Mary Yohe.
