Oilman Vernon "Rocky" Rockhold, 67, of Enid, Okla., a former Geff and Cisne area resident, died Monday, Nov. 26, 1984, at Enid.

Mr. Rockhold was ill with cancer for the past year. He operated his own oil company called Petro Energies, but was retired after 39 years with Texaco Oil.

The Rockholds moved from Wayne County 15-20 years ago.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Enid with burial in that area. Memorial  contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church at

Survivors include his wife, Julie Rockhold, of Enid, Okla.; three daughters, Pamela Cochrane, of Bedford, Tex., Mrs Bevo (Deanne) Bivens, of Elizabethtown, Ky.; and Janis Rockhold, of Enid, Okla.
