Former Wayne County resident, Wilson G. Stanford, 69, of Flora, died at 10:35 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 1984, at his home.

He was the son of the late George and Sylvia (Flexter) Stanford.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday (today) at Hosselton- Bookhout-Engelmeier Funeral Home at Flora, with burial in Elmwood Cemetery in that city.

Mr. Stanford was born in Wayne County on Oct. 16, 1915.

He was a veteran of World War II.

Mr. Stanford was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Hamilton Stanford, of Flora; one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Norma) Hargis, of Flora, one son Jim Stanford, of Flora; four sisters Gladys Ferguson and Goldy Goff, both of Flora; Ruby Lindsey, of Mission, Texas, and Betty Huey, of Creole Springs; a brother, Roy Stanford, of Flora; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, and one grandchild.
