A former Wayne City-Fairfield area resident, Mrs. Erma L. Davis, 73, died at 12:25 p.m. Saturday at the hospital in Hillsboro, Ill.  She had not been well for some time

Funeral services were held Tuesday (today) at Bass Funeral Home in Hillsboro with burial in Oak Grove cemetery there

Mrs. Davis was born and reared in the Wayne City area, according to the funeral home

She was married to Roy H. Davis in 1935 at Nashville and he died in 1962.

She leaves a daughter Jacquelyn, wife of Everett Carroll, of Hillsboro and a son Gerald Singleterry, of Hllsboro; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a sister, Alta Best, of Mt. Vernon and two other sisters, Mrs Norma Kennen, of San Jose, Calif.; and Mrs. Ozella  LaFrance, of Kankakee.
