Mrs. Bertha L. Manahan, 76, Rt. 1, the mother of Clifford Manahan, of Fairfield, died at 8:52 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 1984, at Good Samaritan Hospital at Mt. Vernon.
Mrs. Manahan was hospitalized for the past six weeks with a heart condition. She was in ill health for some years and hospitalized several times this year.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday (today) at Hosselton Funeral Home, Cisne, with Bro. Keith Fletcher officiating. Burial followed in Oak Valley Cemetery west of Geff.
Mrs. Manahan was born in Clark County Jan. 16, 1980, the daughter of Alexander and Rosa (Crum) Lori. She moved to Wayne County as a child and attended school in Fairfield and Bridgeport.
She was married to Edward Manahan, a farmer, in Wayne County Oct. 5, 1935 Mr. Manahan preceded her in death Apr 7, 1980.
Mrs. Manahan was a housewife and homemaker.
She was a member of Oak Valley Free Will Baptist Church at Geff.
Survivors include one son, Clifford Manahan, of Fairfield; and two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Margaret) Kiger, of Fairfield, and Mrs. Stella Holler, of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
