Mrs. Sallie Allen, a Wayne City housewife, 93, died at 11:55 a.m. Sunday Nov. 4, 1984, at Nature Trail Nursing Home, Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Allen was the mother of Mrs Otis (Veneta) Meyers, of Wayne City. She was a resident of the nursing home for the past five years. Death was due to the infirmities of age, the Press was told.

Funeral services for Mrs. Allen Will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home, Wayne City, with Rev. Niles Stone officiating. Burial will be in Thomason Cemetery at Wayne City.

Visitation will be conducted after 6 p.m. Monday (tonight) at Wayne City.

Mrs. Allen was born in Butler County, Ky., May 8, 1891, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Elizabeth (Bumpas) Thomason.

She married Collin Allen in Jefferson County Sept. 22, 1920. Mr. Allen preceded her in death Nov. 21, 1963.

Mrs. Allen was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, south of Keenes.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Otis and Veneta Meyers, of Wayne City, one grandson, Darrell Meyers, of Griffin, Ga.; one granddaughter, Mrs. Roger (Sandra) Hertenstein, of Wayne City, a brother, Carlie Thomason, of Salem; and three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Preceding her in death were one brother and two sisters.
