Former Geff resident, Loren F. Sheets Sr., 66, of Fayetteville, Tenn., died at 1:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 1984, at Nashville, Tenn.

Mr. Sheets was a retired tool pusher for Calvert Oil Company at Olney.

Graveside funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bestow Cemetery at Geff, with Hosselton Funeral Home, of Cisne, handling the funeral arrangements.

Mr. Sheets was born in Wayne County Mar. 9, 1918, the son of Frank and Gladys (Kaiser) Sheets.

He was wed to the former Nelda White in Pekin Sept. 21, 1940.

Survivors include his wife, Nelda Sheets, of Fayetteville, Tenn.; one daughter, Mrs. Sharon Sharp, of Hazelgreen, Ala., three sons, Loren "Sonny" Sheets, Jr., of Olney; John Sheets, of Seaside, Calif.; and Bob Sheets, of Napa, Calif.; and eight grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister.
