A security guard, Robert H. Howard, 50, of Enfield, the brother of Mrs. Flora Mae Desch, of Johnsonville, died at 12:50 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 1984, at Carmi Township Hospital, Carmi.

Mr. Howard was retired from the U.S. Army and was employed as a security guard for the Pinkerton Agency.

Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Campbell Funeral Home, Carmi, with Rev G.  Frank officiating. Burial was in North Maple Ridge Cemetery with full military rites.

Mr. Howard was born in Cisna Park Feb. 21, 1934, the son of Harold and Margaret (Chaffee) Howard.

Also surviving besides his wife are a son, Paul, at home; and a sister, Mrs. Flora Mae Desch, of Johnsonville.
