FORMER MT. ERIE LADY DIES
A former Mt. Erie lady, Mrs. Irvin (Pauline) Wolfe, 71 died unexpectedly at her home in Albion Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 8:50 a.m.
Mrs. Wolfe suffered an apparent stroke while in her yard and was pronounced dead at the doctor's office. She had been under a doctor's care.
She was the mother of Miss Marilyn Wolfe, of the Albion bank, and a sister of Clovis Crews and Howard Crews, both of Mt. Erie.
Rites at Albion
Funeral services were held Thursday at Nale's Funeral Home in Albion with burial in Graceland cemetery.
Born Feb. 12, 1906, in Wayne County, her parents were Joseph and Mary Totten Crews. She was married April 15, 1926 to Irvin Wolfe and they resided on a farm south of Mt. Erie prior to moving to Albion about 30 years ago.
Mrs. Wolfe was a member of the First Christian Church, where she taught the Victory couples class for many years. She was also active in Women's Christian Fellowship at the church.
The Survivors
Surviving are her husband, Irvin Wolfe of Albion; two daughters, Marilyn Wolfe, executive vice-president of the Citizens National Bank, and Nadine, owner of Saber Construction and Operating Co.; and two brothers, Howard Crews and Clovis Crews, both of Mt. Erie.
