Mrs. Nettie C. Bayles, 94, of East Peoria, a former Wayne City resident, died at 10:15 p.m. Saturday at her home.

Mrs. Bayles moved from the Wayne City area many years ago, but visited several times a year. She was a retired clerk for Kreski Department Store and retired cook for the Peoria Oak Grove School.

Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home, Wayne City, with Rev. Richard McCormick officiating. Burial will follow in Thomason Cemetery.

Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bayles was born in Jefferson county, Nov 10, 1891, the daughter of George and Ada Thomas.

She wed Roy Bayles at Wayne City, June 29, 1912. Mr. Bayles died May 8, (no year)

Mrs. Bayles was a member of the Wayne City Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include two sons, Harry  Bayles, of East Peoria; and Rex Bayles, of Placenita, Calif.; three daughters

Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Thomas and Mrs. Jack (Mary) Fagle, both of Peoria; and Mrs. Clyde (Virginia) Hampton, of Laura; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, a brother and two sisters.
